Regular Services

St Augustine's has a number of different church services each week; There are two services on Sunday mornings, one in a traditional format, the other contemporary, and one midweek service. On months that have a 5th Sunday the Parish comes together for a single combined service. You can find more details about each service below.

SUNDAY

9:30am Holy Communion
St Augustine’s

  • A formal liturgical service based on the NZ Prayer Book. The service is structured in a  devotional style, with traditional pipe organ music. Prayer support is available during the Communion time.

    There is morning tea after the service where everyone is welcome.

    60 minute service

SUNDAY

11am Contemporary Service
St Augustine’s

  • A relaxed, family-orientated service with contemporary music led by a band. There's an activity area at the back of the church for under 3's. Children are welcome to stay during the service as there isn't currently a Sunday School programme. Communion is shared twice a month and prayer support is available following each service.

    There is morning tea after the service where everyone is welcome.

    60 minute service

5TH SUNDAY OF ANY MONTH

10am Special Combined Service
St Augustine’s

  • If there is a 5th Sunday in a month, we have a single combined morning service, that includes elements of both our usual traditional and contemporary Sunday morning services.

    There is morning tea after the service where everyone is welcome.

    60 minute service

10am Eucharist Service

  • A small traditional midweek service with Communion. All are welcome.
