We have a range of regular activities and special events for all ages within the Parish and wider community.
Children and families
We have a number of regular and annual events for children and their families;
The 11am Sunday Service has a creche activity area at the back of the church for under 3's and their caregivers
Mainly Music where children and parents/caregivers can connect during the week in term time.
Seniors
Midweek Eucharist service at St Augustine's
Prayer support is available from Prayer Ministry Team
In-home/hospital/rest home pastoral care visits from the Pastoral Care team
Regular services are held for rest home residents and their families at Arvida Rhodes on Cashmere, Bupa Cashmere View Retirement Home and Essie Summers Retirement Village.
Outreach and Community Support
The Parish supports the wider community through practical initiatives such as food and clothing donations to the City Mission, collected at the Church entrance, and pastoral support where needed. Please see the Help and Support page for more information.
Cashmere St Aug's Repair Cafe - A regular social gathering to share knowledge of repair and sustainable living.
Recycling Plus Group - St Aug's acts as a recycling collection hub for difficult to recycle items such as blue surgical masks, Colgate products, Tetrapak containers, plastic bread tabs, metal and plastic lids
Youth Hub - St Aug's are sponsoring a bed in their new transitional housing centre (due to be completed late 2024). By sponsoring a bedroom, we will help to ensure there will be furnishings and fittings for the young people living on site.
Overseas Mission
Regular donations to support overseas missions facilitated by Anglican Missions
Obstetric and Neonatal Emergency outreach in the Pacific region, helping to reduce mother and newborn death rates by providing training resources to a sustainable Pacific-led training programme.
