We have a range of hireable spaces available for weddings, baptisms, funerals, private parties and meetings, as well as public events such as large gatherings, concerts and performances.

St Augustine's Church

Fee: $650 / day
Capacity: 200

Renovated in the 1960's by highly respected Christchurch architects Warren and Mahoney, St Augustine's Church is an iconic architectural landmark in Cashmere. It has plenty of natural light, a rich wooden ceiling, stunning stain glass windows and excellent acoustics. All of these features make it the perfect space for beautiful weddings, baptisms, funerals, as well as musical events such as orchestral and organ performances and concerts. 

  • The pews in the main body of the Church comfortably seat 133 people. Extra seating can be placed in the back and sides, giving total seating for about 200. There are also a number of useful spaces nearby, small and large, if you need any preparation or reception areas for your event.

Hannan Centre Lounge

Fee: $30 / hr | $100 / half day (4hrs) | $200 / day
Capacity: 50 standing / 40 seated

A light-filled seating and kitchen area adjoining the rear of the main church auditorium and accessible directly via an external ramp from the street. A great space for meetings or social groups. Includes complimentary use of the kitchen area.

Church Hall

Capacity: 200 standing | 150 seated in theatre layout | 100 seated at tables

A large light-filled church hall located behind the main church building, with adjoining lounge and kitchen areas. The expansive wooden sprung floor is popular with dance groups, and the space is also utilised for gatherings such as social sports, private parties, community markets.

A functional, well-light kitchen space, great for food preparation purposes. There is a servery window through to the hall. Domestic rated, not commercial.

Church Hall Lounge

Crypt Lounge

A medium-sized lounge space with nearby access to toilet facilities. A great space for meetings or small groups.

Crypt Meeting Room

Adjoining the Crypt Lounge, this is a small, sunny meeting room, great for small meetings.

The Ark Play Room
