Celebrating the return of our Eagle
On Sunday 30th March we celebrated and blessed the return of our Lecturn Eagle
(nicknamed ‘Earnie’ by the Police)
Following are some photos of him being repaired - THANKS MICK!!!
He had been pretty badly damaged, one wing was completely removed and attempts (with a saw) had also been made to cut off the other wing.
His beak had also been sawed off, plus there was an attempt (saw marks) to saw him off at the neck. Heart-breaking stuff…
But thanks to the wonderful skills of Mick (surname withheld at Mick’s request), Earnie ‘flies again’!!
And we were able to consecrate him back into service (see the photo of our Vicar Kofe blessing him) on Sunday March 30th.
